Welcome
COPD7
International Convention Centre, Birmingham, UK
30 June - 2 July 2010
Following on from the celebrated success of COPD6, we are delighted to announce the dates for the COPD7 International Conference on Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease. Further information will follow on the programme and content of this prestigious event but I do hope you will put the dates in your diary.
An International Conference aimed at the breadth of the COPD spectrum from basic science through to clinical practise and what people living with the condition need and want. COPD6 provided new and interesting information for all delegates and encourage lively debate and discussion, and COPD7 will continue to do so.
Providing high quality evidence based health care for the 21st century presents particular challenges wherever we are based in the world and in this country there are many national policies and initiatives which will ensure that COPD is both recognised and embedded in the future. As always events such as this cannot take place without a supportive dedicated team and we express our grateful thanks to Anita Pye and to Jackie Hutchinson and Executive Business Support Ltd. We remain as ever indebted to the generous support of our sponsors and particularly our Gold Sponsors, Boehringer Ingelheim/Pfizer and GSK and our Silver sponsors, AstraZeneca .
COPD6 was held 11 – 13 June 2008, at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham, UK. It included:
- An accredited education and training conference in COPD
- A state of the art scientific conference in COPD
- Clearly identified tracks for scientists, clinicians, nurses, physiotherapists, clinical physiologists, and other health care professionals interested in COPD6 in both primary and secondary care settings
- An opportunity to present original research and to discuss findings with other international experts in the field
- The production of a conference specific publication
